Crank sensor depth ?

I have seen the spec for the crank sensor depth at .03. Is this .030 or is it .003. My guess is .030, .003 seems way too close.

Sho in Nc,

The crankshaft position sensor gap should be 30 thousandths (.030). Check each vave to be sure that nine are bent or distorted. rangerj

Just for information, the .03" gap between the sensor and the outside of the vane also gives a .03" clearance between the magnet portion of the sensor and the inside of the vane. Right in the middle.
