Now I know I can't be the first to post on this. My SHO has a neat habit of havin the ignition system go totally skitzo on me at totally random times. What happens is my check engine light comes on and the only way i can describe how it behaves is that it feels like the ignition system is turning itself off and then back on a couple times a second, like the computer is trying to recycle something. If I stop and let it idle, the idle bounces from about 600 to 1500 back and forth and it shudders like ****, if i drive i can get away with it above 4000 or 5000 rpm where the kick is too mild to **** my drivetrain around, and if i shut it off it takes usually at least 30 to 40 minutes before it will start again, during which time it'll just crank and crank with not so much as an attempt to actually run. A coworker with a SHO thinks it might be the CPS, but given that the problem happens at such totally random times i'm not sure that's it. it has not happened for about 3 or 4 months now, but then again i haven't driven it since i blew the tranny 3 weeks ago
Anybody know what's causing this?
