Is it common for a car that leaks oil... to leak even more while its jacked up (and not even running)! Is this just the oil, that has already leaked, using gravity to appear to be leaking even more?
Also, the heat shield over the rear bank exhaust manifold has oil on it... where would a likely leak be originating? (I'm pretty sure my cam seals are leaking... I just wonder if it something else)

Gravity is the same for a car on the ground or a car on jacks. You may be causing the car to lean at a slightly different angle and that may be allowing some trapped oil to drip

Oil on the rear exhaust manifold heat shield, in this order of probability, is either from 1) the rear bank's valve cover seal, 2) the valve cover bolt seals, 3) the overflowing spark plug wells due to badly leaking plug well seals, or, 4) if the oil is near the passenger side of the manifold, it may be blowing back from a leaking camshaft seal.
