Hello had a SES and seen it was the EGR so I replaced it, everything was fine for a while . Now I got another SES checked it and I have now got four DTC's... one is error code PO 340 cam postion sensor, second is PO 401 EGR FLW INS DET , third is PO 402 EGR FLW EXC DET and finally the last one is P 1519 IMRC stuck closed bank 2...... Any suggestion would be very helpful , how how is it to change out cam sensor? Can I really have a EGR that is both INS and EXC and the same time? And lastly what is the best way to fix the P1519 IMRC , which is a stuck on bank 2.... The car still starts fine, just surprised it had so many DTC's....

Starting with the IMRC code your IMRC box its broken (either at the cable or the wheel inside the box) You have to options replace the IMRC box with a sho or duratec one or wire the secondaries open.
Codes from the EGR I guess come from clogged passage in the surge thank; most of sho's I've seen have a lot of cooked junk in the EGR passage. (remove intake and clean it really good).
Cam sensor is really easy to replace and cheap. It is located in the front driver side (close to the battery or water pump belt)

What did you replace on the EGR? Most of the time it is the DPFE sensor on the back of the surge tank that is the problem.

Sure did... Might as well change out the DPFE while I am in there... How involved is it to remove to remove the intake , runners and surge tank?

You don't need to remove the surge tank. Maybe taking the cowl off will give you more room.

You have to see what the problem is. Being stuck open more that likely means the secondaries are so dirty with carbon build up that the IRMC cannot fully close them. There is a small micro switch inside the IRMC box that gets made when the secondaries are commanded closed. This is not being made.

I would just wire the secondaries open, disconnect the IRMC box and disconnect the battery. The IRMC DTC will disappear.

Again thanks for the advice.... So a quick run down check the DPFE sensor, wire the secondaries open and clean the intake up..... I have worked on v8's in the past but at first this one looks a little intimidating..
Thanks...

The surge tank is not that hard to take off. Some ratcheting wrenches help. Leave the horns bolted to the surge tank on the surge tank. Loosen one side of each rubber connector. Leave the TB connected to the 90 and loosen that rubber.

Take the two rear strap top bolts out and loosen the bottom ones enough to allow the straps to swing down.

Once it is all off take the stud that the ground strap attaches to and move it to the top of the strap, put a washer under the nut so it comes off easily next time. I don't bother putting the drivers side strap back on.

If you take the LIM off be sure to start loosening the bolts from the center out alternating sides with each one and when tightening it back down start at the outsides and work in alternating sides with every bolt.

Well I tore into this morning... Got the IRMC box pulled and have the passenger side cowl pulled as well to install the DPFE sensor... I also pulled the battery and mass air meter and air intake , but I cant find for the life of me where the cam postion sensor is located.. I can see the water pump belt.. I know I must be over looking it.. I hate too bug people on stupid questions like this...

It's sticking out of the head on the front on the extreme right facing the radiator. Look for a black plug. Be careful with the bolt if it is difficult to break loose hammer it with a socket over the bolt head.
