So i figured out what my overheating problem was. After replacing the thermostat, i came to find out that wasnt even the problem. It was the cooling fan. So now i've been looking for the cooling fan everywhere. I have had napa order two of them and neither parts fit my car. So then i went to 3 other autoparts places and none of them had the part i needed. Now i'm working with salvo, but they also came up with the wrong part. Now the guy is ordering the right part(so he says) But the only thing different that the guy could tell me from talking to the other guy with the part in his hand over the phone is that it has 2 prong holes and not 3, which is great but so did one of the parts from napa they tried to give me. I guess my question is what should i do here about finding a motor??? my cooling fan is sitting in my backseat and i'm missing school because of it. so i would appriciate if anyone could help me... Also I heard that you could replace the brushes instead of buying a new fan. How would i know if that would work wil that make the fan have power to it?, and if so how do i do that. I already have the fan out i'm open to anything right now.... thanks for the help...

I have a spare motor for sale if you are interested. Just splice your connector on because I took it off so I could run dual fans (not a cheap option to run dual fans!!!)

I feel your pain. The driver side motor seized up on me! I bought the motor itself for $69.99 at Autozone and it was made by the same company. Whatever you do though, DON'T break the fan blade when you remove it from the motor shaft! It is discontinued from Ford. I had to find this out the hard way. The motor works great btw, and it only took me 15-20 min to replace.

I had the (single) fan in my 92 rebuilt last summer. I could not locate the motor separately anywhere, and the cost of the rebuild was half that of a new assembly from Ford. I was talking to the guy as he pulled the case off the back, and his reply was the springs and brushes were very common and it would be a simple fix. Call around to local places that rebuild starters etc. and you should be fine. Good luck!
