I have tried search and found a lot of good info but I am still stumped. A little background. I have a 92 SHO. A couple months back during a bad snow storm the car got a lot of ice up in the fan and the fan motor burned itself up and the harness melted a bit as well. I had a 95 SHO MTX parts car so I took the fan out of that. My 92 was a 2 wire one speed, the 95 had 3 wires which I assume to be a 2 speed fan. I wired it up and it worked fine, when the fan was supposed to come on it did, just the high speed I am assuming, but the car ran fine and all was good. About a month later I did an engine swap and took the low milage motor, trans, etc. out of the 95 and installed it all in my 92 SHO. A few wiring issues but nothing major. I also replaced the CCRM with one I bought from RCM when I ordered the rest of my parts. Since the engine swap the fan has not ever worked. I swapped the old CCRM back on and still nothing. I traced the 2 brown and red wires coming off the CCRM to the fan and there is no power. I hook direct 12v to the fan and it comes on. I also have tried the Defrost and A/C and neither makes the fan come on. I checked the 60 amp fuse as well. It was good but I replaced it anyway and still nothing. Is it possible my CCRM happened to fail the same time I did the engine swap and the replacement is bad as well? Anything else I can check that I am missing? I really do not want to have to buy a 3rd CCRM if I can avoid it.

when you did the engine swap you said you ran into a few wiring issues could any of those be the problem? , I think the CCRM has to match the cars type and year not the motor , so the correct CCRM would be the one that was in the car, not the one the motor came from, there is a sticky thread on here about having the wrong CCRM perhaps this is your issue. sorry im not much more help as i am just starting to figure out how these SHOS tick my self.

Still cannot figure out this fan issue. I think it is time for my own relay and the **** with the CCRM running it.

Justin The CCRM is for the 92 SHO and that is the harness I used. The alternator harness and a few small things had to be changed during the swap.

Anyone? I drove the car today and also noticed that the coolant temp guage goes up to almost halfway as soon as I start the car. Does the 95 motor have different coolant sensors than the 92?

Bill, don't know if this helps but....

On my 90, the guy I got it from had just swapped the trans. The cooling fans never seemed to come on. I had noticed there was a resistor on the firewall that he forgot to plug back into the harness. After that, now the fans work. Might be something to check quick.
