I have searched high and low for a awnser but can not find one so hopefully someone on here knows. My 2011 sho cooling fans only run with a.c. on. Car will overheat if air is turned off. I have replaced the head temp switch. Is there another switch that controls these fans? Fuse is also good. Thanks in advance

The PCM talks to the cooling fan module over a local interconnect network wire. The cooling fan module has power and ground. The module operates the two fans. Being the fan(s) work with a.c. request there could be a faulted input to the pcm. It may be there is a bad circuit or cooling fan module.

You're going to have to retrieve DTCs and monitor cylinder head temp to see what it's reading after a cold soak or compared to a heat gun. If you replaced the sensor it does not mean you don't have a circuit fault.

Johnbigdog, it seems to me that I remember a lot of cooling fan module issues a few years back, mostly Flex and Explorer. Did you recall seeing any of these, and if so, can you remember if they allowed the fans to run with the a/c or if they were just toast?
