I didn't think I'd like the cooled seats as much as I do. My wife's Explorer doesn't have them and I'm like "... damn, my backside is getting sweaty."

Just a side note.

The seat back not cooling as well as the bottom is due to heat soak in the back of the cushion itself. There is only so much air flow in the seat back and it's not sufficient for long periouds of time. The TED does cool the air that is draw into the device from the air in the seat back and or the bottom of the seat and blown through the seat cushion.

Fords new heated and ventialted system just uses a fan to draw cabin air through the seat and out the bottom/back. To heat they use conventional seat heater pads.

That’s interesting, I’ve often wondered if something was wrong with mine as the back doesn’t seem very cool for long.

Heated wheel is close second though.

Do you know if an OEM heated steering wheel was available on the 2010 SHO, or is there one that is compatible? Mine does not have this feature.

Do the seats in the 2010 SHO use a heater pad, or is it just blown air? I know mine do not get very warm at all. Especially compared to my old Yukon and my new Equinox. Or even compared to my Fiancé’s 2018 F150.

Cooled seats definitely my favorite luxury feature. Heated wheel is close second though. Both ridiculous in the true car sense. But man, so nice to have.

I had my car a year before I found that it has a heated wheel. Who reads owners manuals?

Never had them in a car before the sho, but while its 90+ degrees year round, its something that will be required in every car I own from now on.

If you have a button for heat, it's only a heat pad. If you have a button for heat and cool it uses Ted's. It takes about 10 minuets or so when really cold to heat up the seat. It also depends on cabin temp. The Ted's can only add or remove so much heat. It's like remove 14 degrees, and add like up to 100 degrees (?) during hesting.

There are things that can prevent both systems from working properly.
