coolant leak

ok i did a search and found similar topics but not in the same area, so i might as well ask.......every morning ill start my car, go back inside brush my teeth, put jacket on etc.etc. go outside ad bam coolant leak under front passenger side underneath the coolant resevoir, drive, no leaks, park at work dont see anything leaking, couple hours later puddle, check level....it's fine, come home jack it up clean it off, it doesnt leak, lay under the car for quite some time watching, legs up on the wall crossed, smoke a butt, try to sip my beer only to lose it on the side of my face because im too lazy to get out from underneath the car, and it doesnt leak(murphy's law)........I CANNOT FIND LEAK, im sure its something, and it is something most likely covered but not that i found in the same area, can someone please enlighten me so i can fix this before going to PA. this weekend

when the coolant gets hot every thing it touches expands , it could be a simple hose that fits loose when cold and once hot it is tight, the trick is to wipe it down and on a morning when you dont work come out find the puddle and trace it to its source.

what he said ^^^ mine did the same thing, if it was cold, it would leak, when it was hot, no leaks. Turned out to be the waterpump. Which by the way was a bitch to change.

the water pumps arent that bad when compared to some other things these cars require now and then, at least the water pump isnt timming belt driven.

That is true, it isn't a hard job, just kinda takes a little while.

Use a coolant system pressure tester. Works everytime.
