convertible project

just wondering what everyone thinks, if i can get the money to do it and have the patience to make it perfect, what do u think about my idea of making my 93 SLO into a hardtop convertible(eventually dropping in a sho motor)? i dont think it's ever been done before, and it doesnt seem that hard to do.. as long as i have the time and patience, it shouldnt be that pricy.. what do u think?

just got new molding last week,
in the process of retinting it
chromed out hubcaps
2 12" volfenhag subs (500w rms each) with 1200w lanzar amp
2 clarion 6.5"'s in the front and 2 jensen triaxial 6x8"'s in the back
sony head unit
insulation up the butt to stop vibrations from the crazy sub system

i wanna do something very unique with my car, and i'm thinking the convertible taurus would look cool as ****, and be unique as ****. i saw a softtop sho a couple weeks ago that i was like "woooooooooooooow" cuz it looked so awesome. that gave me the idea of a convertible, and i figure chopping the roof off and smoothing everything out and adding clamps(as long as its smoothed out and refinished and everything) will make it look like a stock hardtop convertible if i do it right. thumbs up or down?

Personally, I really don't think that would be worth the time nor money. Thats just my opinion though.

Kinda like what this will be...although with foor doors.

It is neat but their is a lot of work to do. I wouldn't mind seeing a SHO limo.

Yup...it has a SHO motor...or so it will
