Convention mailing on the way

EVeryone that is currently signed up for the convention in Maryland will get a mailing next week (early next week I hope) from SHO Club with information you need.

Included is a map to the hotel, information about the first day and more. Also, we have a sheet on SHOw judging.

For those signed up for Summit Point, there is a sheet about tech, a sheet you MUST fill out and return ASAP about your driver skill and car preparation, to help us assign run groups.

Some new information:

GUEST SPEAKER ANNOUNCED! Our keynote speaker for the banquet Thursday night is going to be Pat Goss from TV's MotorWeek magazine show.

Pat is a former SHO owner and fan, owns a major repair shop in the DC area and has spoken to many major groups. We are happy to be able to bring him to our group of SHO fanatics.

POPULAR VOTE BEST OF SHOW AWARD ANNOUNCED! In addition to the judged SHOw awardss (Gold, Silver, Bronze) for those cars entered, EVERY person attending the convention that is registered will get a ballot to vote for the BEST OF SHOW by popular vote. This is in addition tot he best of show award from the judges.

Look for your packet, there is still time to sign up for events you might want to add, and you can add to your order of official Convention #10 hats and T-shirts.

If you make additions, send back the information in the envelope provided.

Thanks to everyone for helping make this 10th anniversary convention a success. We have a good group now and it is growing every day.

Question, I sent my money in yesterday (Friday) so I doubt it'll arrive before the mailing goes out. Will I also receive the mailing at a later date or will that info become available on the web site?

First, sorry to take a bit of time to respond to your questions. With the convention about a month away, it is quite hectic here!

If you need a quick repsonse, please just reply direct to me, I won't mind, and will get the message much quicker.

To the answers:

Yes, we will mail out packets to any that register from this point on, one at a time, as soon as we get your mailing. Chances are you already have that mailing in your hands, if not, it will be to you soon.

Yes, we still have room at Summit Point. At this point it looks like we wont' get close to selling out, but we have a big group that is growing every day. Looks like run groups will be about 20 cars per group, lower than at most events there.

Awesome! I did not think I was going to be able to swing it, what with a new job and no vacation saved up. After last year's Convention though, I do not want to miss ANY from now on. SEE EVERYONE IN MARYLAND!!
