console question.

i have a 91 sho and i really dont like the look of the center console. i had a 95 sable with bucket seats and really liked the console on it. will the gen 2 console fit into the gen 1 cars?? if it wont it looks like i am building one.

I have a 94 console in my plus, it was about a 2 hr job to drill the holes in the front subframe(for lack of better description)to match up with twhere the old gen I console connected, I like it a lot and it is lighter (markn shameless plug )
it needed 2 more holes drilled thru the back mount into the tranmission **** to finish the install. looks good and went together pretty easy.
I used an automatic console and treid to cheat it towards the drivers side for the shifter to clear. it rubs but after 1.5 yrs the boot is still good, so it don't rub too much.
I want to put the eatc in the opening where the lighter is and install my 3 gauges in the eatc opening this winter.
I have my K40 radar head installed under the ashtray lid for that stealth look needed in Canada and VA!
