Hey,
I am having a bit of an issue with my wipers.
I Just replaced the motor, thinking it MIGHT have been that. After ripping my hand apart by the plastic and metal, it wasnt it.
So here are the odd symptoms.
I use put the wipers into any and all ON positions, and i hear the clicking from it shifting into which ever setting, but the wiper dont even budge.

*Edit*
Sorry, i had to end this quick. Ill update later
but either way, i dont think that the MFS is the issue, i think i may be a relay. Cause it makes sounds for every setting. but, the motor doesnt move.. or try to move. Ill Clean my MFS. But, i dont know WHERE the relay is.

If they dont move, it sounds like your MFS is gummed up or something. Typically, the wipers dont work on the intermittent positions, but they will work on the low and high positions.

Try cleaning the end of the MFS switch that controls the wipers. There is a process around somewhere...

Or, there is also a control box up under the dash next to the gas pedal (right side of pedal). It is a pain to get to, but this box went south on mine. Quick trip to junk yard, and back in business.

Good luck.

yeah whats that box called. the wiper governor? something like that. i have this same issue, but seemingly not so often lately... i replace the MFS with a new motorcraft part, didnt do anything different.

it hasnt bugged me enough to make me break my back laying on the door jam, and looking up under the dash...

i find that playing/ wiggling the mfs actually works... kinda try to bend the tip of the mfs (the tip is the wiper control), like push it while pulling with another finger... works for me

Tried it,
Before this one, i had a 93 ATX. And i had a problem with that one. And thats how i fixed that.

I went under the steering column, and took the Module with the Most wires out. And THANK GOD, that dam beeping went away. Was that the correct Module? I Still heard the Relay clicking when i changed settings on the Wiper speed, My Wiper squirter still worked, but.. the wipers didnt go on. I dont think anything else, that I could tell was affected. What functions does that peice control?

I really dont know what else to do. I am going to replace the new Motor with the old one, because i need the money, im really hitting broke. Even tho i am unsure how long the motor will last. its still 50$ in my pocket. Anyone have any other ideas? It has rained all week long, and i have had to leave work late and goto work early to miss the rain, i live 35 miles away from work, on Long island NY.

Where is the fuse relay, or inline fuse to the motor located? I have tried to even find Fuse Panel Diagrams online, and i cant even find those. I have use nearly ALL keywords, and every result is for a different car or something stupid not relevant to me.

THanks guys

It was the Wiper control Module.
Ill try to put a pic of it up when i can. I have to start a photo bucket account or something. Or use my yahoo. W.e. If anyone cares to see it atleast. There is definitally a way to diagnose the issues concerning the wipers, between sounds, and reactions. So if anyone has run into this issue, feel free to pm me.

I took it out of a Gen 1 model. Looked to be in better shape and better materials.
I put the old Wiper Motor back into the car, and it works just as good as the Re manufactured one.

thanks for the insight guys.
