my starter has been replaced.

When i turn the key to put the car on (not all the way to ignition). I hear a grumbling. Usually i hear a humming like something is prepping but this time its grumbling... Like something is vibrating.

what could this be and how can i fix it???
Thanks for the help

Where is the grumbling coming from? If it is coming from the rear of the car, under the back seat, say, from the fuel tank, then it is the old fuel return line check valve ventng the vaporized fuel from the fuel return line. This usually happens on a hot restart.

Other than that, I do not know of any common "grumblings" experienced by the SHO with the ignition key in the ON position and the engine not running. Of course, it would be helpful if you would provide a little information so we aren't taking wild guesses at your situation. :frown:

I was wondering what any of you paid for a new starter replaced including labor? I just had my starter replaced. A 1994 atx with almost 83K.

Thanks, Just wanna see how bad they charged me. LOL
