I want to say it's 150psi -ish..... The most important thing is having the same in all cylinders.

^^^^^ This.
Everybody has a different gauge that gives you different results. Some screw-in, some have a big rubber bung that you jam-into the threaded hole, and all are subject to problems.
The higher the better, and Timbo has quoted a nice high number. I have been happy with engines that registered as low as 100 across the board.
Timbo is correct in stating the most important thing is to be consistent.

Thanks everyone...... I'm off to the L.A. area next week to pick a wrecking yard engine, there's about 8 engines to choose from. Its about 220~245 miles from here. Try to search the SHOFORUM classifieds but no luck.
