I gave the low cylinder oil and it bumped up to 185. Of note is that both middle cylinders are low.

The reason I did the test is that I have a vibration issue at idle. What I want to know is am I looking at rings here? Thanks.

In my experience, the most common issue here would be sticky rings - not worn out rings, but stuck. I would try something like SeaFoam in the oil before I tore it apart - sometimes that will loosen them up and sometimes it won't...

Troof!!!!!

Seafoam works excellent. Its worth a try, I think its only like 7 bux a can. Thats alot easier than tearing into the motor

I bought a can of Seafoam today and put it in through the spark plug hole. I'm going to let it sit a while to let it penetrate and then see what happens.

Make sure you crank it over with the plug out so you don't hydro-lock it!

I'll squirt some oil through the plug holes before cranking it just to be safe. And I'm going to let it sit for a day or two before attempting it.

OK I just did another test holding a dollar bill next to the exhaust outlet and every so often it sucks it up. Bad exhaust valve is what I'm thinking now.
