Hey guys. Thanks for helping get my SHO running, but now I have to deal with the main issue. The po told me that "the transmission was broke" but that's all he said. He told me he was driving and went to put it in 4th but accidentally went into 2nd and heard a clunk. Now my question is whether it's a clutch or trans. I can't see a whole in the transmission and it doesn't seem to leak oil. When I start it and it runs I can put it in gear and let the clutch all the way out and it doesn't move. What does it sound like to you.

id take it apart first... i dont think a SHO can glaze a clutch in one sweep... i agree with the axel comment, but i think that the straps on the clutch could have broken too... thats pretty common for abused stock clutches

what does it sound like when you let the clutch out? my input shaft broke and it sounded like metal was grinding on metal.. well thats is what it was! it could be the straps on the clutch though also. not quite sure

Jack up one side, put it in gear, try to spin a wheel. If it spins, check to see if axle is spinning too.
If it wont spin, repeat on other side.
