Help! I have a sloppy suspesion!

Where can I find a complete set of bushings for the whole car?

Can I buy a kit or just have to buy individually parts and pieces?

And finally.....where is the best place/price for these?

Thanks!

I was talking to Nick Chrimes and Josh T. about Suspension Bushing Group Buy a few months back. Do you think there would be many people interested? The "package" would include every replacable bushing.

Be careful about these "group buy" posts. Apparently starting group buys on the forum has been deemed illegal by big brother.

I have replaced every suspension bushing on my SHO. It's not too bad to buy them individually.

The rear strut rod bushings can be purchased from Energy suspension (Polyurethane) and they work and fit great.

The front control arms should be replaced. The bushings would be a PITA To get on and off, though I have heard that upgraded units do exist.

The swaybar bushings can be had in TPR (the best material IMHO) from SHO-nut. Then do the subframe bushings and front strut rod bushings and you're done. (Except for the rear control arms, which I'm not aware of any replacements for. They dont' seem to wear out, however.

If you can get them to do aluminum sub frame bushings, along with ALL of the other bushings, I am a definite go. Even without the sb-frm bushings, I will still buy the kit. I just need them, and thought it would be nice to get a deal on them if all bought together.

I didn't do them on my car for one simple reason: they weren't the least bit worn out even after 145k miles. The very front one is a TPR bushing and its buddy on the other side of the subframe metal is rubber, but doesn't seem to wear out nearly as quickly as the rear ones do, surprisingly.

Plus, replacing the control arm effectively replaces the bushings on the other side of the strut rod, so those are a moot point.

Replacing those front bushings requires the front control arm be removed. PITA!

very true.... replace the control arm and the strut rod to arm bushings come in the new arm... but they are rubber...i wanted poly... just cuz everything else was... so i used the energy suspension strut rod kit....

and for the record...it isn't that hard to take the factory type bushings out of the control arm... vise-grip pliers and flathead screwdriver.. i had them out in a matter of seconds....
