I need your opinions. How do you like them? I got into a small accident a few weeks ago. My deductible is more than the cost of the repairs. My girlfriend and I just bought a house so I cannot afford to fix the car. I was thinking of getting one of the full Colgans to cover up the uglies. The front bumper cover has a "tear/crack" from the bottom, up through the fog light opening and part way above that. I think if the front end is covered, you won't even be able to tell anything is wrong with the car. Good idea?

It'll cover up the damage, but it'll also cause damage. I have the mini-bra, which is just the part that slides over the hood. The paint has bubbled and blistered and taken on an almost burnt look. Car is white. Not a big deal if you never plan to take the bra off, or repaint in the future.

Three things...
1 Colgan bras are the best.

2 Any bra left on the car will cause damage. They are not designed to be left on the car forever. I use mine only on trips and use Colgan bras on my 3 SHOs and another brand on my Lighting. Used PROPERLY they will not damage anything.

3 If you are using it to cover a tear in the bumper cover, it will do that. If you leave it on until you can afford to repair the bumper there will likely be some additional paint work.

i havent had any problem with mine, all you have to do is take the bra off when you wash the car, or it rains, its not that hard at all. also your car is more likely to get messed up without the bra on it, than with one on it (as long as you take the bra off when it gets wet, and keep it clean under it). as for covering up damage, it will cover it up good. my dad put one on his 99 sho cause some idiot hit the front bumper while the car was sitting in the mall parking lot. (of course the person didnt stick around either) he never took it off the hole time it was on there(4 months) and when he took it off to get a new bumper, the paint and everything was still perfect.

Thanks for all the input. Like I said, I just want to cover up the mess for now. Ideally, when I can put the money together, the whole front end is going to get fixed and re-painted.
