Since the cold weather arrived here in the Northeast, my 91 MTX has displayed an interesting quirk:
The radio does not come on when I turn on the car. After some time, after the EATC has turned on the heat, and after I restart the car (only in Neutral, with the clutch pedal depressed, of course), the radio comes on.
By the way, the backlighting comes on when I turn on my headlights (I always drive with my lights on).
I have looked at the back of the dashboard to see if anything obvious is wrong - it's not. And it's too cold to do any wire chasing in my unheated garage.
The radio in question is from an '89 TBird, and is an AM/FM/CD head unit which plugged right into my stock JBL Premium system.
This is not a big deal, but I'd like to know if anyone else has had this experience. Maybe the car is getting crotchety in its old age; I know I have.
