I was able to use a MAC setup from a 1994-1995 5.0 Mustang in mine. Worked awesome with some finagling and rotating of the pipes.

This is my setup. It definantly sounds, and looks better than the stock set up. I'm sure it doesn't gain much other than critisizm from people who don't like cold air setups.

Let me know if you need help, I've made 3 of these for different sho's over the years.

THe MAF is mounted pretty far from the intake in the pic there; wouldn't that have an effect on the accuracy of the readings ? The ebay kit has the MAF mounted very close to the intake.

Same amount of air is going through it no matter where it is. You want to avoid being too close to the TB and any bends as the turbulence will affect the accuracy.

The filter is not really any further than the stock set up. I've had no problems with this at all, and I've had it on 3 of my sho's.

There is a small cone filter on the fender side. It's the smaller of the 2 that autozone sells.

wow that some nice intakes there. :dribble: im currently watching over my neighbors development of his sho and decided to install a cold air intake kit the information here would really help us. :thankyou: more power to sho owners!
