and whne in park and floored it only will go to 2500rpms and still hace a miss. when u drive it the secondaries seem to come on at 2000.so is this ignition related or what im stumped. can someone please help me. shrug

You guessed that the coil pack was bad and spent money for nothing. Are you seeing the CHECK ENGINE light? If not, the source of the misfire is either the plugs or the wires. What brand and type of plugs are you using? They should be the Motorcraft AGSP32PP. What wires are installed? They should be either the WRE-4081 or the WR-4033 that also fit the 3.2L and are less expensive. Is there oil in the plug wells? What is the plug gap? Did you inspect for arc strikes down the plug insulators? Many questions that we cannot answer, only ask.

An errant DIS module would provide an error code. Don't know how to check them? Follow the links at the bottom of my signature.

The ATX has a rev limiter in neutral and park to prevent the engine from spinning more than 4,000 rpm to protect the transaxle. If the secondaries are actually opening well below 3,950 rpm, then the intake runner control system is not plumbed properly with the vacuum lines or the vacuum accumulator has been damaged.

Now as far as the coil pack goes, I've had them tested and was told that I had a couple of weak coils, but there wasn't any code coming up for this. Does this still mean that a new coil pack is warranted?

I would say the DIS module. I worked on a friends SHO. He had coil circuit number 3 bad i believe. We swapped out coil packs and it still did it so we swapped out the DIS module and that was the problem.
