I get these codes after driving for just over an hour, the CEL comes on, and the car idles like crap. Under an hour, it's perfect. Temp gauge never goes above the R in NORMAL, and it eats Vettes for lunch.

KOEO:
511 - LPM

Stored:
172 - Rear to lean
173 - Rear to rich
212 - Tach erratic
215 - Coil 1
216 - Coil 2
217 - Coil 3
102111 - Rapture

KOER:
111 - Hunky dorey

Cylinder balance:
9 - The number after 8, but before 10 AKA Firebreather breathing fire properly

Sounds possibly like a failing DIS. If it's not providing spark, it'll throw a rich code. As for the lean, idunno, but that's the only one that doesn't fit that trend.

I'd add that a sick pcm could cause all of the stuff you listed as well. It may take an hour to get whatever it is hot enough to act up.

Ya velcom! It's entirely possible that the DIS not sparking one or more cylinders dumped enough fuel out the back end that it pushed the O2 over the edge. I've certainly seen weirder.

Also: If it failed because it was overheating, you made sure to put heat sink paste on the back of it, right?

It only lasted 9 years. Autozone part of all things. I don't have any paste with me, but next time I got to the store, I'll get some.

Radio Shack and Best Buy also stock that paste. You don't need anything as fancy as Arctic Silver 5, but you need something there.

...and it did it again. But this time after 2 hours of driving. It seems to happen in the lower RPMs, and then it's like a switch, and I have all my power back after about 3500rpm. CEL would go on and off randomly.

I would find a pcm to swap in at this point.

I know it's a dumb Suggestion sean cause you know these cars. But how tight is the ground strap on the back of the intake? and are the bolts for the crossover tube tight?
