After all the trouble I had in this thread -->http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=124190, I got about ten miles from home today and noticed the tach jumping around (actually looked like it was dropping out) and the car bucking accordingly. No CEL at any point.

Got it back home, pulled codes:
Initially:
539 (O) System shows voltage at PCM pin 10. Is A/C on ?
I do think the ac was on at this point

Memory:
211 (M) Ignition PIP signal was erratic or missing - Ignition Systems
212 (M) Ignition TACH signal was erratic (module/wiring) or SPOUT circuit fault - Ignition Systems
215 (M) Primary circuit failure - ignition coil 1 - Ignition Systems
216 (M) Primary circuit failure - ignition coil 2 - Ignition Systems
217 (M) Primary circuit failure - ignition coil 3 - Ignition Systems

DIS was replaced trying to fix my previous problem. Also, when troubleshooting the previous problem, I was having trouble getting spark on 4 of the 6 cylinders. I'm guessing I need a coil?

Anything else you guys need to know to help me with this?

start by unplugging the cam sensor. this will cause the car to be hard to start - the pcm will have to guess when #1 is at tdc so it may take 3-4 tries, and after you get it started you will have no tach reading but the engine should run properly. if so, you know that the cam sensor is bad.

if it runs the same way with the cam sensor disconnected, then you have an issue with either coil or dis.

Ok thanks, I'll check it first chance I get.

Seems to run fine with the cam sensor disconnected. Pulled it off, no oil or anything behind it. Will pick up a replacement tomorrow.

The pip code can also be related to wiring at the DIS connector. If a new CPS doesn't solve the issue, then it's time to look there. Wiggling the wires and listening for a change in idle is a good way to find out of the wiring is loose or at fault.
