Ok, so I have a check engine light for about 5min in the morning, about the time I hit the highway entrance they go away. On top of that my secondaries don't do much. When I hit 3800 RPM they open, and the car bogs down.

Am I able to pull the codes doing a KOEO even after the check engine light has gone off?

I thought maybe it was because the car was still cold, but I recall the secondaries opening up plenty of times while the temp gauge was still out of the normal temp range.

That brings me to something else that might have something to do with the problem. I can drive 20min to work and my car still won't be at a normal temp, I have never seen it make it off the blue line on my drive to work. The weather here is a little cold, it was 41 when I left this morning.

Is it possible my thermostat is stuck open?

I don't have any other means of pulling the codes.

--edit--

Just went out for lunch, its 60 outside right now, no check engine light this time, and still no secondaries.

You should get the stored codes when doing the koeo test, even if the cel is not illuminated at the moment you do the test.

Sounds like your thermostat is stuck open, that will result in some codes.

If its bogging down at around 4k when the secondaries open, you have other issues besides the thermostat - could be anything ignition related, tps, etc. etc. - pull the codes and let us know what you find.

Problem found, my oil light was fluttering on the way home, got home to find a big puddle of oil on the ground and the dip stick only had oil on the tip.

tossers that changed the oil didn't tighten the oil filter and I just found out my oil sensor on the pan is busted off =/

Tightened it up, topped off the oil and turned it over a few times with the dis unplugged.

runs like champ now.

Ill still check the codes and see if there was anything else, but I dont think there is.
