Ok i pulled some codes because my '90 is not running right. If im crusing around 2k rpms and i try to give it some gas it starts chuggin and slowly works it way up in the rpm's, but after like 4500 rpm's it runs decent and smooth. I switched the MAF for a good clean one out of my 94 so i know thats not the problem and i pulled some codes.

KOEO
I got 49 Electronic Ignition - spout signal circuit problem - Ignition Systems
What is that? Spout?

I also got 66 Vane Air Flow (VAF) or Mass Air Flow (MAF) signal low - VAF MAF
Transmission Oil Temperature (TOT) signal low (possibly grounded) -

KOER
I got 41 (R) System lean - Fuel control
(M) System was lean for 15 seconds or more (no HO2S switching) - Fuel control

What do you guys think i should do?

I just went out for a cruise and when i unplug the MAF it runs way better, but i know the MAF is good and clean.....Could it just be the O2's making it run crap? Its not giving me any codes whilst im driving?

SPOUT = SPark OUT. There are two plugs that will retard the timing to 10°BDTC when pulled (or open). We call these the "emissions testing plugs" lol, cos they'll make your car run like crap, but the emissions will be lowered significantly.

Check for two small two-wire jumper connectors, one by the EEC test plug, one by the airbox somewhere. I'm sorry I don't have pictures.

Also, it sounds like you have a bad MAF. They do go bad. I would recommend getting another one.

I checked the "SPOUT" plugs and unplugged them just to see LOL I didnt think it could run any worst

So i plugged them back in and unplugged my MAF again and it almost wants to run right. I have the MAF out of my 94 which i know was working correctly and i didnt mess it up transplanting it into the Gen 1. Im leaning towards the O2's

Early ODBI codes . . .

:scared:

The car running better with the MAF disconnected is textbook example of a bad MAF sensor.

Well today i went for the gold and replaced the 02's, put on a different TPS, cleaned the MAF and MAF housing about 5 times, cleaned the IAC believe it is. I then decided to throw new plugs in it, so i start at the front get one out figure out it has Bosch Platinums in it low and behold where the electrode should be looks like its got a flat spot in the side. So i pull another and the same thing WTF, the rest of the plugs looked like they should. I ran up and bought some motorcraft plugs threw them in and bam shes running like it should... minus the hack job on the stock Y pipe (C'mon UPS LOL)

Anyways thanks for the suggestions!
