Code 93 on a GEN I????

Symptoms: Very intermittent miss on 89 GEN I-have had several misses on several occasions at 45MPH. Pulled codes and swear I got a code 93. I have owned two SHO's for about ten years and pulled codes on my Gen 02 but this is first time pulling codes on my Gen 1. Looked up code in Chiltons manuel and code 93 referred to TPS. Put the TPS on my Gen 2 on my Gen 1, drove car and no miss. Bought new TPS and put it on Gen 2 to save work. Later, noticed code 93 was for a MTX 4 Taurus, not a SHO. Drove Gen 1 car next day and miss appeared again. Am I not reading code right?? I cleaned MAF sensor and miss still there and I have pulled CID connector and will drive to work and see if miss is still there.

A bad TPS wouldn't produce misfiring at all but you would notice the messed up idle. The code you got pertains to the O2 sensors.

Pull the codes again and this time do the KOER test with the car already warmed up.
