I am getting Code 49, which means spout circuit is open. I've checked the plug and it is in (!) and cleaned the contacts, but the error still shows up.
Car runs like crap at idle and at launch from start. At highway speeds it's fine. Surprisingly, gas mileage has been unaffected.
I don't have my wiring diagrams with me (on work assignment elsewhere). Can someone detail circuit wiring outlay?
Where do I start looking for the open circuit point point?
That plug is so hard to get to; I can barely fit my hand in to reach it. Looks like I'll have to remove the damper brace attached to the strut tower and/or the intake manifold.
If I can't fix the problem, is there someway to override the open circuit error and have the car return to normal (i.e. doesn't operate at 10deg BTDC)?
Thanks.
