The car is running fine except for my gas mileage has decreased. The check engine light came on briefly the other day. I ran codes and pulled this one up on my 94 ATX
"Code 332 Insufficient ERG air flow detected"

I found a nice FAQ on shotimes about it:
http://www.shotimes.com/php-bin/mod...le=article&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0&sid=86

My question is: has anyone cleared it without pulling the manifold? AT some time I have to pull it anyway to replace my plug well seals, but for short term I was wondering if there was another way

Thanks

You might be able to too once you pull off the hex set screws. I would remove the throttle boy though to clean up inside. I would remove the intake though to make sure you get it cleaned out good.

It's difficult to do without removing the intake, but not impossible. The problem lies in the fact that there isn't a whole lot of room to get at the two clean-out ports with the intake bolted down.

You can wire open the throttle plate and use a bent coat hanger and Berryman's B-12 to clean out the very end of the nostrils, but that's like trying to unclog a drain by cleaning the strainer basket, sure it looks like it's clean, but it isn't.

Remove the intake, remove the two allen head (socket head) screws that cover the EGR tunnel, push a bent coat hanger up the long one and crank it and flood with Berryman's.

Good luck.

I cleared the code by doing this:

I pulled the PCV tube off of the valve cover and slowly poured 5 oz of Sea Foam into the tube going to the throttle body, shut the engine down and about 5 minutes later took it for a spin. I didn't notice the white exhaust smoke I had read about, bit it was 11PM! When I got back I sprayed a little brake cleaner into the throttle body waited and ran the car again. The code cleared. After this i was in inspecting the engine and found a small tear in one of the hoses going to the DPFE sensor from the ERG valve. I repaired it with a touch of goop
