can a code 14 be more than just a crank sensor? my friend had his replaced and it is still sending a code 14 (Ignition profile pickup). So either it is a faulty sensor or it is something else throwing the code.

Also, how do you properly gap the crank sensor?

Faulty wiring or connections at the sensor or DIS module?

Were the codes cleared before running them again?

The CPS gap is like .030" between the sensor and the vanes on the timing belt pulley.

The water pump was leaking which I guess screwed up the readings. That would explain it only doing it on and off.

So Code 14 is ONLY the CPS and related parts?
