As some of you may be aware of i have had a clutch issue on my hands. Long story short it stopped working a month after being put in. Well last night i finally got to pulling the tranny out and as i did i noticed chunks of clutch falling everywheres. I got inside and noted that the pressure plate and TB were fine. Took the PP off and saw the remains of my clutch. The clutch had split itself in half, due to what im assuming were faulty rivets. Now my question is what do you suggest I do now for a clutch, NO WAY am i putting in another advanced auto one. I was thinking a midwest SHO clutch, which do you prefer a 6 or 9 puck clutch. My car is pretty much stock so im debating which to go with. Later guys.

From what I've heard the fibertuff 9 puck is very nice. Midwest SHO also sells a a stock motorcraft. Great prices! Check 'em out.

Exploaded disc, eh? I seem to recall a similar situation a month or so back. And if my memory is correct, it was a 'stock' clutch kit with a disc that had "made in china" stamped on it.

Interesting.

As for your new clutch. Id either go with a TRUE Motorcraft stock clutch kit, or the 9 puck I have heard nothing but great things about.

I remember that also Kenny. It was a stock Valeo disc that was stamped that way. I sure hope they aren't letting quality go to crap, they have always been so good in the past. :frown:

Dr_Thompson, I'd take it back to them for a warranty. It would seem to me that it would be replaced at no charge....but then again....if they're quality is crap then why bother using the same one again.

Too bad the pics that masho95 hosted are gone. I'd like to see a comparison. masho95, if you see this, any chances of getting those pics back?

Bizzy, the clutch is on warrenty however, do i really want another one of those clutches?! I have absolutley no faith in them at all whatsoever, so id rather get store credit and buy a clutch i trust. Ive been hearing good things about the 9 puck so thats deff an option. What about RAM kelvar clutches, what are your guys opinions on that?
