another question, if using the engine support brace, you do not need to jack up the engine vial oil pan do you???

and I'm going to try to keep from removing the shifter completely from the car

Andrew

Andrew, the answer to your question is technically no. You shouldn't have to put a jack under the oil pan if the engine is properly supported from above. HOWEVER, I would. I just don't trust anything, especially when a 400 pound motor is swinging over my noggin. You could use a bottle jack with a block of 2x4 between it and the oil pan and that would take up minimal space and would not likely get in the way.

awesome, I kinda worried about the eyehooks I used only being rated to 400lbs.....lol

but I'm also doing rod bearings as well, so it'll all have to come apart anyway.....lol

I'm not ****** off, just taken aback by the accusation of plagiarism. Especially since credit was given at the top of the write-up on SPP as well as it being mentioned here when I added it to SPP just 2 posts above your own. No worries though.
