Seeing as my ring gear is just about shot, and im going to be replacing the flywheel as well, should I throw another clutch disc in there as well? It has only been a few months since its been in there, and some aggressive driving has taken place. And yes I know I will deffiently know once I get it all apart. The problem with that is, it takes a couple days to get the clutch disc in... which means more down time as i would be waiting on the disc, and I was aiming to get in knocked out in a day. What im getting at is, should i order another clutch disc now, that way it will be here before i start, or will this clutch disc be fine for the next **,*** miles knowing that it has been driven hard a few times....

Also another clutch question....
im going to be running a lightend flywheel as well, 17 or 16lbs (not sure yet). are there going to be any draw backs of running a stock clutch with the LW fly? I know people have ran Stage III clutches, but im dont know if there are any drawbacks with a stock clutch, as i cant recall anyone running one...
(im sure that one has been answered before, and i will search for it after i post this, but i figured i throw it in...)

I had another question that was bothering me too, but i cant think of it right now... i'll post it when i remeber.... has something to do with the first paragraph. :nut:
TIA

hey josh you know me very well and i usually stick to my guns "if it aint broke dont fix it" but since you like to do some spirited driving and there is no way to tell if your currnet clutch is good without taking it off, i would say just order a new clutch.

I run a Clutchmaster Stage I clutch with a SHOShop 8lb flywheel. The disc in the clutch kit is a stocker. The pressure plate has some reinforcement, but the disc itself is unchanged. I have no grab problems. Even at the track. And with a disc only having a few months on it, it should be in good condition still.

I have no issues with mine. I would however, take this time to upgrade your pressure plate if you do not have a stronger one. That is the whole reason I went with the clutchmasters setup. I would hate to pull that out again if I broke a strap on a new disc, as I did. My car had 11k miles on a Ford clutch set, with a NEW Ford flywheel. The previous owner spent over 2000 to have that done. Only for me to **** the pressure plate in 8k miles.

Sorry to wonder off on you. Just my thoughts.
