clutch problems :(

I have a 93 MTX, the previous owner replaced the clutch at least 4 times( "woman" driver), but I hear a whinning noise when I press the clutch in, kinda like a typical Ford powersteering whinning noise. What could this noise be? Maybe it helps to tell you that the clutch is about as stiff as my dad's F350 powerstroke!

Mabye a bad TOB, and i think the pedal feel may be a shot pp. Sounds like time for another clutch.
