My clutch will not disengage. It was feeling like the release bearing was on its way out shortly before this happened, slight vibration through clutch pedal when pushed. It stopped working and then for some reason it decided to work for about five minutes (lucky for me I was able to get it off the road and into the driveway without a tow). I ordered a replacement Valeo clutch kit (I'm pretty sure that the clutch in my 89 was upgraded the previos and only owner had the car on the best factory maintenance package. The car only has 140000 kilometers on it. I ordered the clutch through RCM automotive and I have not recieved it yet going on 6 weeks plus... I live in Canada and think it may be stuck at the border. Unfortunately RCM has not returned any of my e-mails as of yet and i was wondering if anyone else has had problems ordering through these guys. I was also wondering where to order the smaller bits and pieces. Unfortunately Ford has made it troublesome to get any of the replacement bushings clutch fork or fasteners outside of the flywheel bolts. I think that the problem might be in the parts between the clutch and the pedal. the pawl and spring seem to be functioning and the cable looks alright. I am concerned that it might be more than the release bearing since the symptoms are a little different than typical release bearing failure. Clutch pedal has little resistance not stiff and mechanical assembly ahead of transaxle seems to be alright. Does anyone know where I can get some of these smaller parts/ fasteners reliably. Has anyone else had similar problems or any suggestions before I go ahead with replacing the clutch and throwout bearing. :smash:

Sounds to me like the typical TOB wear on the PP fingers. The wear gets so bad that the TOB actually eats away the PP fingers, and is pushed THRU the PP fingers.

I know all about the problems associated with shipping to and from Canada/USA. It can be a major PITA.

Get ahold of Josh (SHONUT), He will have anything you need, and is already on your side of the border:wave:

I' e-mailed SHONUT thanks.

I checked out your y pipe to 3" exhaust. Looks pretty sweet. I'm a custom fabricator myself. I think your idea of putting the cat behind the y pipe is brilliant. Did you lose any low end torque that many aftermarket (catless) y pipes dyno.

Thanks. Although with the cat being so low, Ive slapped it on many things... just today I tore it out and welded in a straight pipe because the front cat honeycomb broke loose. NASTY rattle :nut:

It does feel like I lost some low end. But the top end more than maide up for it  With tuning, this thing absolutely screams to redline!

I posted a couple of vids the other day.... Click here -----> VIDS
