I'm ready to change the clutch on my 95. The transmission shop says there's a revised TOB kit that they'll install. It has a hardened steel sleeve that presses on over the stock aluminum one that the TOB slides on. This sounds good, but they can only get it in a kit from there supplier that includes the clutch and everything. Problem is it will cost be $415 in parts.
They said they will install my parts if I could get them cheaper but they would only warranty their labor and not the parts for a year. Question. Could I get the clutch from SHO Nut performance and get the sleeved TOB kit somewhere else and have them work. Or is this something that only comes in a package deal?
I really don't need a clutch now but the TOB is making the pedal feel real gritty. I've replaced the cable so I know it's not that. This is affecting the feel at the shifter too. I don't think it's disengaging completely.

The steel sleeve and TOB comes with the kit from SHOnut. You'll be saving $200 by getting the kit from SHOnut and having the shop install it.
