Ok I've got a few things I need help with. I know that this is my second post about doing my clutch but Im not confident and I need some HELP.

#1- I was wondering how difficult it is to actually pull the tranny out, and if I would be able to do it without power tools. I have a garage but I dont have a compressor with power tools.

#2- I am by no means a mechanic but I do all the work on my cars myself usually with out mishap. I was wondering if this was something I would be able to do myself with some instruction.

#3- My last question is simple, I really want to do this myself so if there is anyone on the forum who has done this job a few times and has those instructions inbeded in their brain and wouldnt mind giving me a write up on the job I would really appreciate it. It might even be something good to leave as a thread for other people interested in doing the job. The reason I am asking is because I got the clutch Kit from Autozone for a hundred bucks and im really trying to save money. So if there is anyone who would do this I would owe them big time.

P.S. If there is anyone local who wants to attempt this job with me, either someone who has done it, or someone who wants to learn with me you are more then welcome. Im in Stratford CT, about 45min from NYC and about 15 min from New Haven.

Thanks to anyone who helps.

SHOnutperformance sells a video tape that outlines the entire procedure in detail. I think you might find it well worth the money.

what he said. I never did a clutch before in my life and the video showed me how. I did the work myself without a lift and for the most part, without many air tools. You will need help with the grunt work of putting the tranny back in (thanks eric), but for the most part, you can do it yourself.

I almost bought a 91 needing a clutch last summer. I ended up not because of time... The Mustang was in the garage, and I didn't have anywhere else to put it. I too would reccommend the video. I didn't get it. I spent ALOT of time online. Saving tips/tricks, pics, engine support plans/pics. I WAS ready. When it came down to coughing up the coin... I had it, just not the time to do the job. I had just started a new job and time at h ome was a premium, especially in the summer.

SHOtimes has some of it. Sorry I lost most of what I had. SDPat had a engine support (is he still around?) in a pic host he used. There was also one made of pipe. I'll see what I have and let ya know! Theres links all over here for info, which is what I used for most of it.

A clutch is pretty easy to do. All i recomend is that you get a bag and put ALL bolts that come from say starter in there. All bolts thare come from teh subframe and blah blah. Saves alot of time and wondering " did i put that bolt in" Also make sure you have a good machinsit that can wet grind your flywheel cause if you don't your clutch wear will be unreal as the flywheel spins faster on the inside and is worn more then the outside. Well gl with your clutch and i would drain your tranny to you may need to put your own plug in tho. There are instuctions to do it on shotimes i belive..
