Hello all,
I've been looking for a similar question on the forum, but I can't find anything. Hopefully, you guys and girls can help.
My clutch is making a creaking/groaning noise, when I push it in. (it feels just like my gas pedal did, when my throttle cable went south)
Anyone want to take a guess as to what is causing this? If I bought a clutch cable, would I be able to replace it myself, or is this more of an "intermediate level" repair? What is involved in changing one.

Try going to any shop that specializes in driveline stuff. Lots of them will look at that kind of stuff free of charge.

I'm sure that you could replace the cable yourself if you're mechanically inclined. Something to keep in mind also is the throw out bearing...it can cause strange noises as well if it's not functioning properly or is clogged up with clutch dust.

I personally would take it to a specialist who deals with this stuff daily and have it checked out for free as SHOless4now said. Beats the heck out of spending money on parts you don't need. If you do take it to a shop, make sure they offer free diagnosis before you let them tear into it.

Edit: Most importantly...take it to a reputable shop. wink
