Clutch cable- plz help.. wondering what it is

Alright heres something that i hope is not anything major...

First, my clutch pedal feels very soft- it doesnt even move anythign when u push it about 3 in and than it starts to move something...

second, when i push the clutch pedal in after its al the way down it feels like it was to go more but the floor is there- and theres a click from outside the car... very notciable and happens exactly the same time everytime u push the pedal down.... what is that

third, sometimes the pedal is very soft the first 2 in than it feels like ur hitting a bump and gets real tough and than it feels like it just went over that and than goes straight to the floor without any pressure...

fourth. now if i take the pedal and grab it and yank it up towards the steering wheel- than something happens to the adjuster.. and after that it will not go into any gear- so thna i have to get under the pedal and hit the blue adjuster to push it in and it clicks about 2-3 times.. and i notice it sits very weird like if i pull on the clutch the adjust feels like it falls out and than it wont hold its tension....

fifth, i smell some kinda burning sensation when i drive somewhere... since i think the clutch isnt like holding all the way its somewhat slipping- and i get alot of clutch chatter when the i let go of the clutch.. whats that from...

now what i need to know- is whats a bad cable feel like and symptoms...

and can a clutch do this when you have a good cable...

I know that my pedal feels so strange from day to day- and that if i move it a certain way all fails than- like i cant get into gear.. its so agravating.. plz help- thanx

Also does fluid make a difference how the pedal feels or no...

And how do you know if its the clutch... it so feels like the release bearing isnt releasing- cuz like theres a constant soft grinding at a stop if i have the clutchpedal in with it in neutral... but if i pull it out it goes away... this is really annoyning- any advice would be great... especially Sdpatt...

Hey, I think your adjuster isn't working right. It sounds like its not pulling on the clutch cable with enough tension. You have to get down under the pedal to check the movement while pressing the clutch, helps if someone else step on it. Look for broken pieces or the cable slipping.
