"Clunks" everywhere!

Hello, I have a clunk in front, almost sounded like the whole subframe was shifting, but i checked those bolts, and they are fine. The LCA is brand new on the left side, and recent on the right side. I'm thinking that possibly the strut rod bushiens need to be replaced. How do I tel if thats what is making the noise? It is ONLY on take-off, and also if I back out of a driveway turning left (usually).
ALSO, just recently I had rear struts with Konis and Eibachs put on.. pon hearing a slight noise, I noticed that the rear swaylinks are stripped. IF they are not tight and deforming the rubber as they should be, would that cause a clunking in the rear? I want to put new ones on, but I thought when I had the new strut mount put on, I would be free of noises. Now its just slightly different, doesnt seem as loud as the strut mount did. Can the swaylinks seem almost as loud as a strut mount would?

Sway bar endlinks can make a terrible clanking noise when going over a bump or little potholes on the road and loose steering when the nuts aren't tight enough, also some grease one everything including the tie rod ends.

Kevin, if you want, come out on Wed. night and I'll show you what to look for. Otherwise, have someone push the car while in gear, the forward movement will extend the strut rod forward & you'll be able to see if it moves.

If the strut rod collar is broken, Kirk can weld it if he's around. You'd also be able to "rattle" the strut rod in the housing if it's as bad as it probably is from the sound of it.

you can also tap the rod with a rubber mallet & if you hear loose metal sounds, that's usually a giveaway. Another one is to take a pair of vise-grips on the flats on the rod, & turn it a little. If the bushing / collar spins with it, chances are it's loose.

Fred, thanks for the heads up and the offer to come out... I am replacing the axle seal on thursday (on a lift) or tomorrow in my driveway if I get ambitious enough. Its leaking too bad to drive somewhere far thats for sure...Doing the alignment sometime this weekend... How's next weds look? I really appreciate it!

Well, the clunk in the back is partially the endlinks. BUt when i got out today and the other day, I pushed down on the rear bumper, and it seems like the right rear koni is actually jammed up or something?! The only way I can describe it is like poulling down a SHO hood that has bent hood struts, you know what I mean? I dont know how I'd ever bend a koni, or how it woudl already be bad, i have only put ~2K on them and they had ~7K on them when installed.. Does this sound like it could be bent, or something else? Sometimes, is seems to be working perfect, aznd other times i have to actually put a lot of force to get to even budge downward at all. (seems like it is on full hard (track driving) or something, but its actually all the way on soft)... Any ideas would be appreciated, before I get it taken apart in a month or so when its off the road.

oKAY, UPDATE.... With the car on or off, something is making a noise by just turning the steering wheel back and firth, I am going to check the steering rack tomorrow, how does that secure to the subframe? I think thats the same noise i am feeling/hearing when I go to take off, that I thought was the strud rod seperating from the subframe.. Any ideas? It is most defnitely up by the cowl, and i can feel it in the floor, I'm hoping to find the steering rack moving arounc or something..
