I get this front end noise when turning sometimes that I can feel through the firewall. It only happens at slow speeds, but can occur in either direction. I had someone look at the tie rods and they said that there was no play in them. Any ideas?

Can you feel it through the steering wheel?

Have you checked the sway bar end links?

Does it only happen while moving or can you make it happen while turning the steering wheel while stopped?

Do you get a knocking or clicking sound while turning sharply (moving)?

What is the sound like?

It only happens when the car is in motion at slow speeds and I am turning. It's not a clicking sound like a CV joint would make but a thump or clunk. I have pushed down on the front end to see if it would do it but it won't and nothing seems loose.

Check your "radius arm cups" as another source of this noise.Do a search on clunking front end and it will give you alot of variables on what can cause this.
