my climate control unit... when i bought the car most of the placstic buttons (fan options and defrost buttons) were cracked (but still worked). can u just replace the button pieces or do i have to do the whole unit? ....:thankyou:also. does anyone have a working blower motor resistor and how much? just dont feel like pulling it myself from a jy. i know i'm in the wrong forum but i might as well ask while i'm here

I don't think there are any harder buttons out there that can be swapped into your soft button unit.

Swapping the entire unit is easier. The unit needs to be pulled out of the dash, then opened up to get to the buttons anyway.

Swapping a hard-button unit is simple, I've done it multiple times on mine trying to work out a problem. There is a way to "upgrade" your current unit, but that process is a PITA and requires soldering and a bunch of other stuff. Like the others have said, your best bet is just to pick up a hard-button unit and swap it in, simply plug and play.
