i have a clicking sound in time with left front wheel as it turns, just replaced the LCA bolt because it was slipping, doesnt click while turning

i read something about maybe hitting the ABS sensor, anyone tell me where the ABS sensor is or what they think this might be?

did not happen before i replaced LCA bolt so i dont think it is CV joint

If it's the ABS sensor, which I doubt, you'll see the sensor hanging by it's wire dangling around. Very doubtful. Check that CV joint real good. 99.9% of the time, that's your problem.

The ABS sensor "ring", that is mounted to the outer CV joint, should be centered in the ABS sensor.

I have seen several of these rings that have moved out of place and start to hit the steering knuckle. When this happens they do make a clicking sound, especially when turning, as you describe.

Look at the ring in relationship to the sensor. It should be centered in the sensor. Jack the wheels off of the ground so you can spin the wheels and watch the ring.

You could also have an assistant (A lovely mechanics assistant is best) turn the steering wheel while you turn the wheels to see if you can replicate the clicking noise.

Just some thoughts, rangerj shrug

it sounds like you bent the backing plate/dust shield on that wheel when you were working on the brakes. make sure it is not touching the rotor at all. also it could be a a warped rotor? but i'm leaning to a combination of the 2 of them boink ! good luck Ken
