Hi all,
I have some rims that I am sanding and repainting. Decided to go with flat black (gloss shows to many imperfections). What I was wondering is if I should clearcoat them? Would it make them have an almost Satin Black finish? Also, I have wheel paint clear coat, but when I have clearcoated some black items in the past it kinda dulled the black and made it look gray. Any tips to avoid this? Thanks

Jeremy

I am thinking about getting them powdercoated this winter. For the time being I just want to make them look okay and get them on my car. My tires r worn out and I want to get tires for these rims instead of the slicers since they are 7.5x16.

I actually think there is a flat powdercoat. You might look that up if you have the $.

If you are going to have them powdercoated this winter (which would be the best option), then I wouldn't worry so much about making this paint job perfect until then, since it will soon blasted & pealed away anyway.
