Has anybody bought the clear corner lights for the 92-95 SHO from procarparts.com on eBay? I was thinking of buying them ,but was wondering if anyone else had tried them?

Yes a few of us here have them (myself included). I think they look awesome, but the rubber seal at the fender leaves a lot to be desired.

Fred, is there any way to silicone that rubber seal or something? When I got mine that's the only thing I was disapointed about.

I got them as well. They make the car look so much more cleaner. The amber was out of place. They seemed to have sealed fine for me, I havent had any issues with them at all. Heres a picture of my car with them.

Well, on the Green Gen2's I LOVE the amber look. Like on my mocha 91, I think the Red / Amber / White tail bezels are more attractive than the red / red white; on the red & black Gen 1's, the red / red / white looks better.

I personally think the red, blue, silver Gen 2's look better clear; the whites, blacks, greens look better w/ amber.

Again, strictly opinion. :)

Plus, while you are installing it, you can remove that pesky intake silencer as well! :p

[flame-retardent suit] When will they make a Gen1 version?!?! [/flame-retardent suit]

You might keep in mind when/if you get the clear corners, they'll look nice and new compared to your probably very worn headlights and fishtanks. I replaced my headlights as well, and it looks awesome. Before I did, however, the corners just made the headlights look that much worse. Plus I never realized how much light I was losing due to those old headlight housings.

I have a Silver Gen2 with dark tinted windows and it looks SO much better without that pesky amber up there, I also removed the silencer while doing it, and I LOVE the extra noise when I'm rompin'it.

I'm currently trying to figure out something to do with the taillights. As of now, the tails are the only thing on the exterior that is not either Silver or Black  . I tried taillight covers, but they didn't fit very well, and I didn't trust the velcro.

Overall, I recommend the clear corners, but don't look too closely at the rubber seal and the way it doesn't quite fit the finder snug. You have to point it out in order to notice. thumb

MO, why not use the spay-tint, Niteshades? You control the amount of tint it gets, and there's nothing to fall off.

Because I've never heard of that product. Where might I get it, and what's involved in application?

Ah.... :D

It's like spray paint, only it's translucent. It gives the blackout appearance for looks, but you control it's density depending how many coats you give it. You can get it for maybe $10-15 at almost any speed shop or www.summitracing.com.

I'm sure some forum members would post a pic of their nite shaded cars, right guys?

Check out Porkchop's Gen III SLO; he's got nightshade all around that badboy and it looks pretty slick.
