I noticed that all of the SHO's have clear-clean looking headlights and I wanted to know how you make them so clean looking because I want to do it to mine. Any advice would be much appreciated.

well if it's minor yellowing you can take rubbing compound and a buffer and go at it for a bit. I tried it by hand because i don't have a buffer.. not suggested, my arm died.

I knew someone would post that thread...

I just did 15 minutes of wet, very wet, sanding with 800 1000 and 1200 grit then I used a buffer to buff on plastic polish stuff ($5 at Autozone)

They look brand new :)

2-3 times over with Eagle 1 aluminum polish (YES aluminum polish...) depending on how bad off they are. Wish I had before and after pics because the results are just amazing.

Soap and water worked for me! :thumb:

In the first place, one should never whipe any light covers with a dry cloth, it will only scratch it up and cause the typical dual/yellow tinted lens over time. Even most car manuals mention that and make it a point to have the lens wet.

If you wax the lights just like you do the car, they will stay nice for a VERY long time.

No buffing or sanding needed. ;)

My titanium '89 still has crystal clear headlamps (original).

That must be nice! :)

Just something to remember though, never wipe the lens with any type of cloth when they are dry, eventually it'll all catch up and result in what most SHO's have, yellow fog disease. You can notice what happens when you even whipe a 100% cotton cloth on a brand new CD and/or DVD, you get tiny scratches everywhere! I clean my CD's by applying water to them and using a cloth, then I dry [another 100% cloth] with one whipe in an area, no double whipe.
