I need some help. 90 SHO. Car ran great before I messed it up of course. I just replaced my TPS as I was getting code 63. Now all KOEO codes are clear. While I was in there I took out my 80mm MAF and sprayed it and the MAF sensor with CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor cleaner. I do have an LPM for the 80mm MAF.

Just took it for a drive and the engine seems starved for air. I can make it around my block in 1st gear but it bogs and bucks bad in 2nd and I can't do anything. Not sure if I killed the MAF sensor or if my new TPS is no good or if I just need to run the car more to heat up the MAF wires from the cleaning. Anyone have any ideas for things to check before I buy a new MAF sensor. Maybe I'm missing something obvious? Is there any kind of alignment I need to do with the TPS? Thank you.

Inlet clamps tight? If MAF is bad, engine will generally run better if it is unplugged, though I'm not sure what effect the LPM will have.

Unplug the MAF and see if performance improves. If you! Have the old TPS you can reinstall that as well if the MAF isn't the culprit.

Good ideas, thanks. Good news. I reassembled all the intake components to ensure I didn't have a vacuum leak. Then I put the old TPS back on. The car ran as good as before. So my MAF is good and my TPS is bad. I'm going to return the Airtex one I got from RockAuto but this time I'm going to get the OEM Motorcraft part. I guess I should not have tried a "compatible" TPS. For the record, an Airtex 5S5133 didn't work on my 90 SHO.
