the time it takes to do that for each track change isnt very practical, i would flucuate tire sizes, also if you install MTX cams on the intake side you increase the ATX rev range slightly, move the revlimiter up a tad if you have to, with MTX cams you can rev a ATX to 7500+ easy use a switch to lock the converter and your set. and MTX cams are well within the rules since they are bone stock cams, not sure if a chip to adjust revlimiter is legal or not, course whos gonna tell them you chipped it? we wont tell ;)

I am not interested in the drive gear ratio to change it weekly.. I'm interested to see what the effects are in relation to the tire sizes to see if one is optimal to another.

Personally.. I think going with a set of 235/60/16 might get me to where I need to be.

I found these gear ratios at SHOTimes:

The '93 to '95 automatics use the AX4S (previously named AXOD-E) transmission with these ratios:

Gear Ratio
1st 2.771
2nd 1.543
3rd 1.000
4th 0.694

And the diameter of the tires are :

215/60/15 = 25.3 inches.
235/60/16 = 27.1 inches.

So.. now, knowing these ratios, and knowing that the differential is at 3.77..

Does anyone know the formula or calculation to convert rpm into mph.

By no means do I want to drive you away from the shoforum but when I was racing the site that was popular was http://4m.net they should have the formula you are looking for. I looked to see if the site was still up. the looks have changed from a few years ago but content looks to be the same.

1st @ 7000 = 54.04mph
2nd @ 7000 = 97.05mph
3rd @ 7000 = 149.75mph
4th @ 7000 = 215.78mph

That is, if my math is right. Obviously, this is not including driveline losses, drag losses, etc. So, theoretically, if your car had the mass and drag of a photon and had a perfectly efficient drivetrain, that's how fast your car could go.

The formula I used is:

Tire diameter x RPM (which is always 189700 for your 235 tire)
--------------------
Gear ratio x 366

I assumed that you would multiply your gear ratio by your final ratio to obtain the ratio used for the calculation (i.e. 2.771x3.77 = 10.44667). If I'm wrong, let me know!
