i am about to change my cid cam seal, my question is do i need to remove the timing belt, cam pulleys, and rear cover, i do not intend to change the other two seals unless i have to take everything apart, and also do i need any special tools for this procedure?

u don't need to remove anything to get to that seal except the CID Sensor the metal plate behind it. It's a lot easier if you jack up the engine so you can get to it. Take a screw and use a hammer to hammer into the seal. Make sure you go in straight or you will scrape the cam. (not good). Then once the screw is in there, pull it out and it will pull the seal out.

the job is kindov a pain, but i did it in my driveway with hand tools and a set of picks (screw trick didn't work because couldn't get the engine up far enough in the bay). just keep at it, and the more stuff you can get out of your way (PS resivoir, torque strut, batterie) the better.
