what is the cost for powdercoating 4 rims? where at? who does that? how long will it last(especially in winter)? I'd get mine done in the spring since I live in ohio.

I paid $190 to have them stripped and coated. It will be cheaper for a different color, since mine was 2 stage (grey then clear).

How are you going to finish off the wheel hub gimmick in the center?? painted black? They used to sell chrome grease backs way back when, something like that would look sweet.

Damn those look sweet. That was the color I was thinkign for my 17in Koing Monsoons that I picked up. Got all 4 for $250 cause the CC was peeling off, and there were a few scratches. I got quoted $45 a rim for stipping, base color, and a clear powder coat to them. I just have to sand some of the scratches to make them blend in. They'll look good when I get them finished for the spring. That grey looks sharp, and will look sweet on a black car. Or in my case an Opal Frost one. thumbs_u thumbs_u

those rims look hot! i wanted to do the same thing on my emerald green 95. i love the anthracite look. and grinding down the lettering on the inside makes them look so clean. i love it. good call man!

Yeah man! post some pics! please. i am dying to see what those look like on the car, especially capless with those chrome lugs. i think i might have to get another set of rims and do the same thing to them. because those look so awesome. i just can't get over how sweet they look.
